Happy Teachers’ Day

Tomorrow 2nd May is the birth aniversary of His Majesty the Third King-the man who is known as the father of modern education in Bhutan. He was the husband of Her Royal Majesty the Grand Queen Mother of Bhutan- Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck who is the mother of our beloved 4th Druk Gyalpo-His Majesty the 4th King.

His Majesty the third King is also a father to Her Royal Highness Ashi Kesang Wangmo Wangchuck who has always been my inspirations. She is one person who has shown the ways we can do things differently and quitely.

May 2nd thus is marked as a National Teachers’ Day in memory of our beloved 3rd King.

I see so much of inspirations in these four historical figures in Bhutan be it in the past or present or for that matter a future.

So on this particular Teachers’ Day, I pay my tribute to all the figures that are afore mentioned. Thank you Your Majesties for being the real role models.

On this Teachers’Day, I also would like to mention one particular primary school teacher who I remember to have made a huge difference in my life. I am not sure if she gets to read this message but I want her to know that I don’t remember any college lecturers or professors in my life but her. She is none other than madam Pem Choden. I always used to wish her on Teachers’Dsy but I lost her contact. My bad luck.

Where ever you are ma’am, Please know that I remember you fondly and with love and deep appreciation for what I am today.

Thank you all…m
y inspirational figures!

I remain with deep gratitude.
